Discussion point page number 162

1.- What effect would video recording and distribution have on the film industry?

Cinema will no longer have the same importance and the same customers as before because most of the people would prefer to see movies for free at home, so that cinemas will get less money.

.2.- How would radio and television negatively affect film and record sales? How could the development of radio and television be used to boost film and record sales?

Affect negatively if the television and radio broadcast the films and records for free or in a cheaper way to people, because the people will not be interested on the product any more. It will boost if the TV and the radio do commercials because it will get people attentions and they will buy the films or the records.

3.- How has digital technology and the increased use of the Internet affected film and sound recording? How has the Internet had an effect on distribution?

It has affected for bad because as the good and free  distribution of the internet , now there are many web sites where you can get new films and songs for free whiteout the need of paying, what it’s bad for the film and record sales. The effect of the internet was massive connection for everyone and anywhere in the world, which is good for sending a message or commercial to anyone, but bad because its very easy to distribute these products.

4.- What distinctions can we make between professional film and sound productions and personal or amateur use? What role do they both play, and are these roles interchangeable?

Obviously the professional productions have a better work because they had more experiences and they have tools, techniques of best quality that will help them to make a more specialized work than an amateur production. he role that they do is to show us the difference between a professional and an amateur and they are no interchangeable. Also with more time and experience you pass to a professional.
